Day 3 - Centralia to Castle Rock

Continuing our feast from last night at the church, they made the coffee bar available to us and made us breakfast.  Fruit, juice, and scrambled egg meat veggie tacos.

Layered up we rolled out with a forecast of rain and lightning.  I started the day out with four riders, one of them being an older lady (who doesn't read maps too well).  We helped her navigate through town and blasted off once we hit a straight stretch (climb).

I spent the day riding with Rick, a 64 year old retiree from Sacramento, who is not only doing the Pacific Coast tour, he's doing the Southern Tour to Florida as well.  He's motivating me to stay fit and healthy.  Fit older riders amaze me.

Little to no rain all day.  Just great photos and incredibly beautiful quite back roads.

Typical view on the first part of the ride and then everything opened up to lush fields along a windy river road.

The only disappointing part of today was the fact that we are not riding farther.

RV park grocery store late lunch.  Ramen noodles with crunched up chili cheese Fritos on it.  Delicious.

Cold beer before dinner, very nice.

When deciding what, when and where to eat we have to factor in the bike ride.  Here's my strava ride to dinner.

We are staying on this street at the RV park.  We can be found at the corner of happy hour and happy trails.

A lazy restful day today with a longer 70ish mile day tommorow.  Give or take detours and meals.

  5. I'll have to let you know what chili cheese Fritos mean to Stacy and I's 23 year relationship when you get back to the Putnam Citadel clan. Love your updates and following your experience. Cheers.
